Meeting the Resident Life Staff Resident Director (RD): Your RD is in charge of the building in which you live. S/he creates ways to bring the residents closer together and plan fun activities for the residents of the building to get to know one another. The RD is also the person in charge of violations and issues within the dorm. |
Resident Assistant (RA): Your RA is a great resource for information about life in the dorms. You can talk to your RA about getting involved in hall council, roommate issues, problems with classes or management skills, and more. Each floor usually has two RAs (except for Centreville because of the fire wall dividing the two sides).
Desk Assistants: The desk in the main lobby is where you can find helpful assistance. If you ever need a spare key, help with anything in your residence halls, mail issues (e.g. accessing your mailbox or sending mail), picking up packages, and much more. Get to know your desk assistants because they are extremely helpful in the community.
