U.S. PIRG
U.S. PIRG is hiring staff who are ready to tackle important problems that affect millions of lives -- problems like the overuse of antibiotics on factory farms, the dominance of big money in our democracy, or the toxins in our everyday products.
Last fall they hit a real milestone when they got Subway to commit to stop serving meat raised on routine antibiotics. They were really excited about this major victory, and if they can convince more chains to stop serving meats raised on routine antibiotics, they could be on the verge of an industry-wide change.
But, PIRG need more people who are willing to stand up against special interests in the name of the public interest – on the issue of antibiotic overuse and beyond. If you are interested, apply at jobs.uspirg.org.
