The National Geographic: The National Geographic Washington DC Headquarters has many excellent speakers, events, and exhibits, ranging from photographs of endangered species to world music events. Not all of the events are free, but there are still plenty to choose from.
World Wildlife Fund (WWF): This nature conservation organization offers a number of seminars with top leaders in their field.
Resources for the Future (RFF): RFF hosts numerous public seminars, workshops, and forums throughout the year on issues related to the economy and the environment.
Green Festival in DC: Every fall for two days DC hosts Green Festival that is a celebration of sustainable solutions that have worked.
